2 | Yim in Chinese: Ethereal.
The only mod menu capable of blocking all network events to be "uncrashable" and still manage to crash itself.
Now, before I get started on this major chapter of Monarch's Life Cycle, I would like to clarify that during this chapter, you will be seeing the name "Yim" or "YimMenu" mentioned a lot. YimMenu was an open-source GTA mod menu, hosted on GitHub. Many of today's newer mod menus are known for stealing/pasting the source code of this menu and reskinning it in their own image.
Everyone has their own favourite GTA Mod Menu; I think mine would have to be Ethereal. Not because it's good, or anything, but because it's a fucking joke.
A long time ago, Timothy Monarch was on his rampage of cracking random pasted GTA mod menus because he was bored (what a loser!) and eventually came across a new skid on the block: Ethereal.
This went on to Tim cracking Ethereal for the first time, thinking all was well and it would be just that. Nope! Tim didn't know it yet, but he had just started a whole war with China, aka Ethereal Mod Menu.
First began the accusations of rats, worms, viruses, and ransomware within Tim's crack of Ethereal, as well as every other crack Tim had ever released.
So after Tim had accidentally opened this gigantic can of worms, the whole ordeal broke out. We had staff, members, admins, and even the owner of Ethereal joining Monarch attempting to "raid" (using a Selfbot to mass mention 4 people, 3 of which were botsβ οΈ).
Jaguar Benz, the owner of Ethereal and king of dyslexia, began creating false posts on Reddit and his own Discord server, posting "evidence" that Tim's cracks were full of viruses and such. These "evidential" posts were just VirusTotal getting false positives from some of the worst antivirus software it uses for its comparisons.

After this, Monarch had a new fun member to troll, GrandpaCoke. I kid you not when I say this Discordian is a literal Redneck over the age of 70, as whenever he joined VC he spoke nothing but Hillbilly bullshit, and sounded like a total fucking pensioner.

Fast forward a little, Ethereal has been cracked 8, maybe 9 times now, even including a "Speedrun Crack" where Tim managed to crack and play GTA Online successfully within 27 seconds. Jaguar Benz (owner) began to claim he was working on new and better protections, even going as far as to claim these were "military-grade." Spoiler alert: they were not.
This led to Tim cracking it more and more just for the fun of it, until Jaguar Benz eventually came to his senses and requested for Tim to make some sort of deal. Jaguar Benz would stop starting drama, spreading lies, and shit-talking Monarch overall, and Tim would stop embarrassingly cracking Ethereal in under 30 seconds.
This didn't last long.
Not even a few weeks after making this deal, Jaguar Benz began starting trouble once more, claiming Tim was putting viruses in his cracks and was giving malware to all of his users! Damn you, Tim, for filling my hard drive with furry porn!
Tim, of course, didn't take kindly to this, yet again beginning to release a new crack, this time with a document attached on his GitHub. Unfortunately, this document was lost due to a DMCA attack from Ethereal themselves. Though in short, it was basically calling them out on all of their bullshit claims and giving out the information that needed to be said.
After all this drama continued, a few cracks later, Tim eventually got bored and stopped cracking Ethereal. One of Ethereal's minions came into Monarch to try and start drama but eventually started to like the community (I know, impossible), leading to him becoming more and more active, eventually luring Jaguar into kicking him from the Ethereal Staff Team.
This led to another can of worms being exposed. All the dirty secrets of Ethereal poured out into Monarch channels: screenshots and statements of them using YimMenu for their updates, code snippets of them making new updates to Ethereal, perfectly in line with YimMenu updates!
After most of the drama passed, many competitors (if you can even call Ethereal competition) gathered in Monarch to revel in bullying Jaguar Shrimp and his army of followers. This led to developments such as the Ethereal backend IP being leaked and the server being down for weeks without change. The developer lied to members and users, claiming it was an intentional issue with the latest update to prepare for a "big update" (how clever).
Alongside the downing of the Ethereal Backend, there was also the released image of the user DevilMayCry, a known retard in the GTA Community, constantly sided with Revunity.com who will sponsor Ethereal, and Censor anything against them, to defend the money they make selling, said paste.
About a year or two has passed since all of this drama, and I know this chapter will most likely re-ignite this. Though I doubt Ethereal has much life left in it, seeing as YimMenu was recently sent a DMCA from Take-Two Interactive to immediately delete and cease all development of its source.
16/10/2024 Edit: Stand is now open source, ethereal will be getting some familiar updates soon!
